This article comprehensively examines the role, significance, and practical application of modern information technologies in the field of medicine. Today, digital technologies have become an integral part of the healthcare system, fundamentally transforming diagnostic, treatment, preventive, and medical management processes. The article analyzes the role of electronic medical records, telemedicine, artificial intelligence, big data, mobile health (mHealth), and information systems in improving the quality and efficiency of medical services.
The research results show that the application of modern information technologies in medicine contributes to the optimization of the healthcare system, reduction of human-related errors, and increased convenience for patients. The impact of digital technologies, internet networks, telemedicine, and social media platforms on the healthcare system is also discussed. During the study, methods such as analysis of scientific literature, comparative analysis, and a systematic approach were employed.
The findings indicate that modern information tools ensure rapid access to medical information and serve as an important means of improving the quality of healthcare services and promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population. At the same time, the spread of incorrect and unreliable medical information may pose certain risks. The conclusions of the article provide practical recommendations for the effective and safe use of modern information technologies.
Health Information Technologies (HIT) represent an information processing system that includes computer hardware and software designed for storing, retrieving, exchanging, and using healthcare data and knowledge for communication and decision-making. HIT technologies represent computers and communication infrastructures that can be networked to create healthcare data transmission systems.
