Abstract

Courage is a key moral and spiritual concept that reflects how individuals and communities interpret ethical behavior, identity, and resilience. This article investigates the role of “courage” in the spiritual worldview of language speakers by examining its linguistic representations and cultural meanings. Drawing on cognitive linguistics and linguocultural theory, the study analyzes how courage is conceptualized as a moral virtue embedded in spiritual values rather than merely as physical bravery. The findings demonstrate that courage functions as a core spiritual construct shaped by cultural norms, metaphorical models, and evaluative language.
