This article examines the translation experience of S. Vohidov as a prominent representative of Uzbek literary translation and analyzes his influence on modern translation studies. S. Vohidov’s translations are characterized by a deep understanding of the source text, artistic sensitivity, and a strong sense of national linguistic identity. Through his work, he demonstrated that translation is not a mechanical reproduction of meaning but a creative and intellectual process requiring cultural interpretation and stylistic mastery. The article highlights how Vohidov’s translation principles—such as fidelity to the original text, preservation of aesthetic value, and adaptation to the norms of the target language—remain relevant in contemporary translation theory and practice. His approach has significantly contributed to the development of modern Uzbek translation culture and has influenced the formation of new standards in literary translation.
