Abstract

The rapid advancement of science and technology in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries has significantly transformed traditional understandings of the human being. In particular, developments in artificial intelligence, biotechnology, cybernetics, and digital media have challenged classical humanist assumptions that positioned humans as autonomous, rational, and superior entities. This article examines the transformation of the concept of the human in the era of posthumanism, emphasizing the philosophical, technological, and ethical dimensions of this shift. Using qualitative analysis of contemporary philosophical literature and interdisciplinary studies, the research identifies key transformations in biological embodiment, cognition, and social agency. The findings demonstrate that posthumanist thought redefines humanity as a dynamic, relational, and technologically mediated construct rather than a purely biological and anthropocentric entity. The study contributes to ongoing philosophical debates on identity, ethics, and the future of humanity in an increasingly technologized world.
