This article investigates gender representation in media discourse by conducting a comparative linguistic analysis of stereotypical portrayals of men and women. The study examines how language choices in news articles, advertisements, television programs, and digital media contribute to the construction and reinforcement of gender roles within society. Particular attention is given to lexical patterns, metaphorical expressions, and discourse strategies that implicitly convey power relations and social expectations. The research highlights the ways in which male and female identities are differently framed, often resulting in the normalization of discriminatory attitudes and unequal social positioning. By applying a critical discourse analysis approach, the study reveals how media language perpetuates gender bias and stereotypes while also exploring examples where traditional roles are challenged. The findings aim to contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of gendered communication in media and support wider discussions on promoting equality through responsible and inclusive linguistic practices.
