This article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of project-based activities as an innovative method of teaching Russian literature at the university level. It examines the pedagogical potential of project-based technology in forming and developing students’ literary and creative abilities. The article reveals methods and techniques of teaching literature in a project format aimed at fostering creative thinking, research activity, and communicative competence of future philologists and educators. The stages of implementing project-based activities and the criteria for evaluating students’ creative results are presented.
