This article is dedicated to the life and multifaceted work of the outstanding Uzbek writer, literary historian, and translator Pirimkul Kadyrov (1928–2010). Particular attention is paid to the analysis of his major works, including the contemporary novels Black Eyes and The Diamond Belt, as well as the large-scale historical epic Starry Nights (Bobur) [1; p. 54], which brought him widespread fame. His contribution to the development of Uzbek prose is emphasized through deep psychological insight, the fusion of national traditions with the historical novel genre [3; p. 188], and active translation work. The article is intended for philology students, historians, and anyone interested in 20th-century Uzbek literature.
