Among minimally invasive surgical methods, laparoscopic surgery (LS) occupies an important place in gynecological practice. This article comprehensively examines the advantages and disadvantages of the laparoscopic approach in gynecological surgery. Surgical techniques, advanced practices, patient recovery, cosmetic outcomes, and postoperative complications are analyzed. Additionally, the practice, opportunities, and limitations of laparoscopic surgery in gynecology in Uzbekistan are highlighted. The study employed a literature review methodology. Results indicate that while laparoscopic surgery has several advantages over traditional open surgery in many gynecological cases, there are also limitations such as required expertise, technological requirements, costs, and inapplicability in certain conditions. In conclusion, individualized assessment and inter-center skill development are essential for the application of laparoscopic surgery in gynecology.
