This article discusses the state of women’s education in the territory of Turkestan at the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, attitudes towards teaching, the support for the education of Central Asian women following the Russian conquest, as well as the main objectives pursued in this regard, and the establishment of special vocational schools for them.
