Abstract

Iron deficiency anemia (IDA) is the most prevalent nutritional disorder in children worldwide, with serious consequences for growth, cognitive development, and overall health. This article reviews the epidemiology, risk factors, clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, treatment strategies, and preventive measures for pediatric iron deficiency anemia. Emphasis is placed on the importance of early recognition, laboratory confirmation, and public health interventions to reduce its burden.
