This article examines the use of gamification in the classroom, emphasising how game design features like leaderboards, badges, and points can improve academic performance and student motivation. It explores the advantages of gamified learning settings while addressing any drawbacks, such as the danger of placing an undue emphasis on extrinsic rewards, by drawing on expert opinions and empirical evidence. The article's conclusion is that, with careful application, gamification can turn conventional educational experiences into more engaging, effective, and interactive learning paths.
