Antibiotic resistance has become one of the most serious threats to global health, food security, and development. Resistant infections are increasing worldwide, causing millions of deaths annually and billions of dollars in economic losses. This paper explores the definition, causes, statistical evidence, and impact of antibiotic resistance while also presenting strategies for global solutions. Drawing on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and The Lancet, the article highlights the urgent need for coordinated international action.
