In this article, the role of the journalist in reporting on gender-based violence is reinterpreted, no longer as an impartial reporter of the event, but as a catalyst for social change. In this context, it is revealed that the development of gender-sensitive approaches in various media genres – chronicle, interview, reportage, podcast and documentary formats – is one of the most important areas of journalistic innovation. It is explained that the traditional chronicle genre consists of covering events in an orderly, fact-based manner.
