Abstract

This article examines the multifaceted role of international organizations within the framework of modern international law. By analyzing the transition from ancient associations to the complex institutional structures of the 21st century, the research identifies the socio-political drivers of international integration. The study focuses specifically on the United Nations (UN) as a primary actor, evaluating competing legal doctrines—directing, constitutional, and integrationist—to clarify the boundaries of organizational authority versus state sovereignty.
