Pharmaceutical deontology is a fundamental branch of professional ethics that regulates the moral duties and responsibilities of pharmacists in their professional practice. It has evolved from ancient moral doctrines and medical ethics into a structured scientific discipline integrated into modern pharmaceutical education and practice. This article analyzes the historical origins, theoretical foundations, and contemporary significance of pharmaceutical deontology, highlighting its role in ensuring patient safety, professional integrity, and social responsibility within the healthcare system.
